Before contacting AAE, make sure your firearm is potentially eligible. Some firearms cannot be imported through this process.
- Chinese-made firearms are not eligible.
- Russian-made firearms are not eligible.
- Belt-fed firearms are not eligible.
- Open-bolt firearms are not eligible.
- NFA items are not eligible.
Review Fees & Timeline
These are the main fee categories customers should understand before starting.
- $200 CAD import fee per serial number
- $50 CAD transportation fee per firearm
- $25 USD engraving/importer marking fee, if required
- $1 USD ATF permit line item fee per item
- CBP Merchandise Processing Fee, approximately 0.3464%
- 15% reciprocal tariff/duty on non-USA firearms
- 15% AAE consignment fee
