Check Firearm Restrictions

Before contacting AAE, make sure your firearm is potentially eligible. Some firearms cannot be imported through this process.

  • Chinese-made firearms are not eligible.
  • Russian-made firearms are not eligible.
  • Belt-fed firearms are not eligible.
  • Open-bolt firearms are not eligible.
  • NFA items are not eligible.
AR or AK variants are not eligible unless previously imported into Canada by IRUNGUNS. If you are unsure, verify eligibility before contacting AAE.

Review Fees & Timeline

These are the main fee categories customers should understand before starting.

  • $200 CAD import fee per serial number
  • $50 CAD transportation fee per firearm
  • $25 USD engraving/importer marking fee, if required
  • $1 USD ATF permit line item fee per item
  • CBP Merchandise Processing Fee, approximately 0.3464%
  • 15% reciprocal tariff/duty on non-USA firearms
  • 15% AAE consignment fee
ATF approval is commonly estimated at approximately 60–90 days after IRUNGUNS receives the firearm. Timelines, tariffs, exchange rates, and fees may change.

Description

The Model 70 Featherweight is slightly slimmer and lighter in weight compared to other Model 70 variants. The Featherweight uses the same controlled-round, claw-extractor to grab hold of the cartridgeÂ’s rim shortly after it leaves the magazine and guides it to the chamber, preventing jams caused by double feeding. Its three position safety allows loading or unloading the Model 70 Featherweight with the safety engaged in the mid position. WinchesterÂ’s M.O.A. Trigger System has zero creep and no overtravel after the firing pin has been released. The trigger, combined with a hammer-forged, free-floated barrel and forged steel receiver with a bedded integral recoil lug, help provide exceptional accuracy. The walnut stock has a satin finish and checkering, a Schnabel fore-end and a Pachmayr recoil pad. 5 round capacity. Has an overall length of 42-3/4″ and weighs 7 lbs.
